What’s Involved?
Liposuction is a procedure that reshapes areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportions. If you’ve tried diet and exercise and aren’t getting the results you want, then liposuction may be an option to getting the body that you want.
Liposuction should not be a substitute for weight loss, exercise, and a healthy diet. Good candidates for the procedure should be healthy and within their normal body weight. The best results occur with skin that has enough elasticity to achieve smooth, even contouring after the fat is removed. Areas with stretch marks are not the best for liposuction. Common areas that respond to liposuction are the hips, thighs, abdomen, chin, neck, upper arms, knees, calves and ankles.
Liposuction may be used in combination with other plastic surgery procedures and Dr. Lussier will discuss this with you during your consultation.
