What’s Involved?
A browlift, also known as a forehead lift, reverses the effects of gravity and tightens the forehead and elevates the eyebrows. A browlift can reduce wrinkle lines, improve frown lines and raise sagging eyebrows that can give you the appearance of being tired, sad or grumpy.
A browlift places eyebrows in an alert and youthful position that makes you look happier, friendlier and more approachable while reducing wrinkles and frown lines to give your face a refreshed and tightened appearance.
It is common for individuals to have excess eyelid skin, droopy upper eyelids, and droopy eyebrows, so to achieve the best aesthetic and functional results all areas must be addressed. During your consultation, Dr. Lussier will evaluate your facial features to determine whether you would benefit from a browlift, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), or both procedures.
Surgical Options:
- Traditional Open Browlift
An incision is made within the scalp, the eyebrow is raised, and the excess skin is removed within the scalp to hide the incision. This approach works best on patients with more severe eyebrow drooping. - Endoscopic Browlift
Several small incisions are used to raise the eyebrow and concealed in the hairline. This approach works best on patients with mild amounts of drooping eyebrows.
